LogiKCo is working with the State of Colorado to provide a new software solution to assist children grades K – 12 of migrant workers. Migrant workers often seek seasonal work such as farming and their children must move with them from job site to job site each season. This makes tracking a child’s educational information difficult. LogiKCo’s SMART application (Students Migrating Academically on the Right Track) will help support the federally funded Title I, Part C of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) Migrant Education Programs in Colorado and across the country. SMART is intended to assist Migrant Education Programs which try to assure that children of migrant workers are provided with appropriate educational services so they can graduate from high school or attain their GED and be prepared for the future.
